Understand how we work, what to expect, and your responsibilities when booking cleaning services with The Fresh Cleaning. These Terms apply to the Site and every service appointment.

Using Our Site and Services
These Terms apply when you use the Site or book Services. Please review them carefully so you know what to expect and how we work together to provide a smooth cleaning experience.

Welcome to The Fresh Cleaning ("The Fresh Cleaning," "we," "us," "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of thefreshcleaning.com and any cleaning services you book with us.

Service Area
We provide Services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions we serve.

Quotes, Pricing & Scope of Work
- Quotes are based on the details you provide (home size, condition, add-ons, frequency, access details, etc.).
- If the property condition or requested work differs from what was described (e.g., heavy buildup, extra rooms, excessive clutter, extra requests), we may adjust the price, duration, or scope and will inform you as soon as possible.
- Extra services requested during or after arrival may require additional charges.

Booking & Scheduling
- Appointments can be booked through our Site or by contacting us.
- Arrival times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or prior appointments.
- If your usual cleaner/team is unavailable, we may send a trained substitute to fulfill the appointment.
- Recurring services can be paused or canceled based on the cancellation policy.

Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure entry at the scheduled time (keys, codes, concierge instructions, parking details).
- Running water and electricity must be available.
- Secure valuables such as cash, jewelry, and important documents.
- Clear surfaces you want cleaned and remove excessive clutter where possible.
- Secure pets and provide any special instructions.
- Inform us of unsafe conditions (mold, pests, bodily fluids, heavy construction dust, unstable furniture, etc.). We may refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe.

Supplies & Products
- We typically bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment.
- If you request we use customer-provided products or tools, you are responsible for ensuring they are safe and suitable.

Satisfaction Guarantee (48 Hours)
If you are unhappy and feel we missed something within the scope of your booked service:
- Email us photos and a written explanation within 48 hours of your appointment.
- We will make it right in a reasonable manner (typically by re-cleaning the missed area).
This guarantee does not cover permanent stains, wear-and-tear, or issues caused by pre-existing conditions.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Show Policy
- You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment at no charge.
- Changes made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a $50 fee (or up to 50% of the booking total, whichever is higher).
- If our team arrives and cannot access the property or you are unavailable, you may be charged up to 100% of the booking total.
- We may reschedule due to emergencies, severe weather, staff illness, or unsafe conditions.

Payments & Billing
- Payment is due as stated at booking (before service, on the service day, or immediately after completion depending on the booking method).
- By providing payment details, you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge the total amount due, including taxes and approved add-ons.
- Receipts are available upon request or sent automatically where applicable.

Breakage, Damage & Claims
- Report any concerns about breakage or damage as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of service, with photos.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, faulty installations, normal wear-and-tear, or unstable/fragile items not able to withstand normal cleaning.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service visit related to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Service Limitations
Unless specifically included in your booking, we generally do not provide:
- Biohazard/trauma cleanup (blood/needles/hazardous waste)
- Mold remediation
- Pest extermination
- Heavy lifting or moving large furniture
- High exterior window cleaning or unsafe ladder work
- Restoration, repairs, or construction-related cleanup beyond light dust/debris
We may decline any task that is unsafe or outside normal scope.

Communication Consent
By booking Services, you consent to receive service-related communications (calls, texts, emails) about scheduling, access, changes, invoices, and service support.

Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on this Site (text, logos, images, branding, design) is owned by or licensed to The Fresh Cleaning and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

Third-Party Services
We may use third-party platforms for booking, login, forms, scheduling, or payments. Your use of those platforms may also be subject to their terms and policies.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Site or Services means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and applicable Canadian federal laws. Disputes will be handled in the courts located in Ontario unless otherwise required by law.
